Your Charity Site

About

We watched a charity spend £4,000 on a website. Then we built this.

Most charity tech is sold by people who don't volunteer. We're a small team that's been on both sides of the donation page.

A friend of ours runs a small mental-health charity. They quoted her £4,200 for a four-page website. Maintenance was extra. Hosting was extra. Updating the homepage was £80 each time. Six months later, the agency went out of business and her site went down for two weeks.

We thought that was a solvable problem. The hard part of a charity website isn't the technology — it's the writing, the photos, the campaign that needs to go up before the next funding round. We made the technology free.

Your Charity Site is free for every registered charity, forever. The paid tiers exist because some charities want to use their own domain or remove our branding, and that's reasonable. The pricing is set so a single Pro subscriber covers a few free sites.

What we believe

A few principles we won't compromise on.

Your data is yours.

Every site can export everything as a zip — pages, posts, media, everything. If you ever want to leave, you walk out with the lot. No hostage-taking.

We don't take a cut of donations.

Donations go through whatever processor you use. We never touch them. If we ever change that, we'll tell you, and you can leave with all your data.

We optimise for the volunteer.

The person updating your site is probably a volunteer with 20 minutes between meetings. The editor is built around that — not around developers, not around marketers.

Accessibility is a baseline.

Every section block is built to WCAG 2.2 AA. Charities serve everyone — your website should too. We don't charge extra for accessibility.
