Pricing & charity status

Are you really free for charities?
Yes, free forever. No credit card. The free tier covers unlimited pages, blog posts, image hosting, SSL, and a yourcharitysite.com subdomain. The only thing on your site you didn't add is a small "Built with" footer.
What counts as a charity?
Any registered non-profit — UK charity number, US 501(c)(3), or your country's equivalent. We'll ask for the registration number on signup. Mutual-aid groups, community projects, and unincorporated initiatives also qualify on a case-by-case basis — email us.
What if we can't afford even $5/month?
Email us at hello@yourcharitysite.com. We have a quiet fund that covers Pro for charities working on a tight budget. No paperwork, no application form — just a short email.
Do you take a cut of donations?
Never. Donations go through whatever processor you set up (Stripe, JustGiving, GoFundMe, etc.) and we don't touch them.

Domains & branding

Can I use my own domain?
Yes — that's the Plus tier ($10/month). Point yourname.org at us and we'll handle SSL automatically. You can use a subdomain (eg. site.yourcharity.org) or the apex.
Can I buy a domain through you?
Not yet. We recommend Cloudflare Registrar or Porkbun — both sell .org domains at cost. We're working on bundling registration into Plus.
What's the "Built with" footer look like?
A single line in the footer that reads "Built with yourcharitysite.com" with a small heart icon. It's there to help other charities find us, not to plaster a logo on your site.

Editing & content

How does editing work?
Your site is a stack of sections — hero, columns, image grid, donation CTA, etc. You drag sections into the order you want and fill in their fields. The text editor is Notion-style, no HTML required.
Can multiple people edit?
Yes — invite as many editors as you want, with owner / admin / editor roles. We never charge per seat.
Can I edit on my phone?
The dashboard works on phones for quick text edits. For drag-and-drop layout changes, a tablet or laptop is much better.

Migration & exit

Can I export everything?
Yes. Export every page, post, and uploaded file as a zip from your dashboard, anytime. The export format is documented so you can move to another CMS without losing anything.
Can you migrate us from WordPress / Squarespace / Wix?
Yes — that's part of the Custom tier. We can pull your existing pages, blog posts, and images and rebuild them as sections. Get in touch.
What happens if you shut down?
If we ever wind down the service, we'll give every charity at least 90 days' notice and a one-command export of your full site so you can move to another CMS or static host. You'll never wake up to a broken site.

How we compare

Why not just use WordPress?
WordPress is great if you have a developer. Most charities don't. Plugins go out of date, security patches need applying, themes break. We're a CMS that doesn't need a babysitter.
Why not Squarespace or Wix?
They charge $20–40/month, take a cut on some payment integrations, and lock you in (you can't export the design). We're cheaper, take no cut, and you can leave with everything.
Why not just Linktree / Carrd?
Those are great for a one-pager. We're built for charities that need a real site — multiple pages, a blog for updates, image galleries, custom domain, SEO. Different problem.
